A wedding day is a collection of fleeting moments, and being able to document them in some of Pickering’s most iconic locations is always a privilege. Our recent wedding session was a perfect blend of modern luxury, civic elegance, and the natural beauty of the waterfront.
The Morning Glow: Bridal Prep at Pickering Casino Resort
The day began at the Pickering Casino Resort. The hotel’s sleek, contemporary design provided a sophisticated backdrop for bridal preparation. Between the excitement of the bridal party and the quiet, nervous anticipation of the bride, the resort’s large windows and elegant interiors allowed us to capture those intimate "getting ready" details with beautiful, natural light.
The Ceremony: Saying "I Do" at Pickering City Hall
From the resort, we headed to Pickering City Hall for the official ceremony. City Hall weddings offer a unique, timeless charm. The architecture provided a clean, professional yet warm atmosphere for the couple to exchange their vows in front of their closest family and friends. The simplicity of the setting really allowed the couple’s emotions and the significance of the moment to take center stage.
Sunset & Sails: Pre-Wedding Portraits at Pickering Harbour Marina
To round out the gallery, we spent time at the Pickering Harbour Marina for pre-wedding portraits. There is something incredibly romantic about the marina—the way the light hits the water and the rows of boats creating a nautical, serene vibe. It’s one of our favorite spots in the Durham Region for capturing relaxed, candid moments away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
