There is something incredibly special about a first birthday. It’s not just a celebration of the first 365 days of a child’s life; it’s a celebration of a family’s first year of new memories, sleepless nights, and immeasurable love.

Recently, we had the pleasure of capturing a beautiful first birthday party at the Mint Leaf Restaurant in Caledon, and the day was as bright and joyful as the birthday girl herself.

Key Moments

The Portrait Session: Before the festivities kicked off in full, we captured some quiet moments with the family against the balloon arch. These portraits are the ones that end up on the mantelpiece—a snapshot of a family in their first year of "three."

The Cake Detail: The cake was a work of art—minimalist, elegant, and topped with a simple gold "One." It stood almost untouched at the start of the party, a beautiful centerpiece for the dessert table.

Candid Joy: Our favorite shots were the ones where the birthday girl was simply being herself—reaching for a balloon, being held by a laughing relative, or staring wide-eyed at the crowd singing "Happy Birthday."
